From October 15 to 19, 2025, Frankfurt will host the Frankfurt Book Fair 2025 — the largest international event for books, culture, and publishing.
This year’s Guest of Honour is the Philippines, under the theme “Stories Across Islands.” The program highlights the country’s diverse voices, arts, and storytelling traditions that unite its many islands.
More than 4,000 exhibitors from over 100 countries are expected. Key topics include global literary trends, audiobooks, AI in publishing, and sustainability in book production.
Director Juergen Boos emphasized: “The Buchmesse is not just a marketplace — it’s a global meeting of ideas, freedom, and creativity.”
Events, readings, and debates will take place across the city — from Römerberg Square to the Museumsufer — making Frankfurt a living festival of words.
Once again, the Frankfurt Book Fair reaffirms the city’s title as the world capital of literature and free expression.
